The Health Mark IVO18660 – Quality in a Lightweight Package
If you find yourself dealing with daily back or neck pain, then you have no doubt already spent plenty of your hard earned money on trying to find a solution. Many people find that drugs only provide temporary relief and usually become less effective over time, and that visits to the chiropractor are expensive and regular.
How often have you heard your practitioner say “Your back is out of alignment again…”?
What you need is a solution that is both natural, economical, and works effectively to reduce pain – inversion therapy could be just what you’ve been looking for.
Health Mark Inc. produces a range of quality health products, and their Health Mark IVO18660 Inversion Therapy Table (also known as the Health Mark Pro) comes in at a great price offering top quality and safety assurance. Inverting for a few minutes a day can make all the difference in your pain management, and can get you back on track to a normal pain free life – and far less visits to the chiro!
Build Quality & Assembly
The Health Mark Pro Inversion Table (IVO18660) is made with high quality powder coated and chromed parts that give it maximum durability, and is a solid table that makes you feel completely safe to invert on.
The backrest is constructed from steel tubing covered with 840 nylon denim, and is both comfortable and hard-wearing. In contrast to an inversion table that has a solid backrest, this helps to reduce the weight of the table, making it easier to move around the house.
Health Mark use special transitional bearings on their inversion tables for smooth bind-free rotation, and use a thick-walled tube steel for construction of the frame and backrest.
Some people find assembly difficult with this inversion table due to the instructions being somewhat confusing. It’s probably best to refer to a picture when putting it together to help work out what goes where.
As for the packaging that the IVO18660 comes in, there is no need for concern as most parts are placed where you need them, and many parts are pre-assembled by the factory.
The thick-wall steel tubing that holds the Health Mark IVO18660 up is about 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter, and can safely hold up to 300 pounds with no danger of failure.
The frame is a front split leg design, and gives good stability. People who own this table say that they feel secure when inverting, and that there is no wobbling.
Ankle Locking System
The Health Mark IVO18660 uses a strong spring-loaded pin system to lock your ankles in place, and has adjustments for the smallest of legs right through to the largest. The parts that contact your legs are curved molded foam cups at the rear, and thick round foam rollers at the front – and give a good level of comfort. For extra comfort wear a thick pair of socks, and shoes – particularly if inverting at more extreme angles.
The only thing that might have been improved with this particular ankle locking system is the length of the release pin, which is very short, and could be a problem for some people to unlock. A longer release handle means you don’t have to reach right down to your ankles to release yourself, and can make things a bit easier.
For a similar-priced inversion table with a long release handle you could take a look at the Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Therapy Table.
Height & Tilt Adjustment
The IVO18660 has a feature that helps you control your maximum inversion angle and the sensitivity of movement at the same time – a great feature for first-time users. This is achieved through the special 3-position pivot arms, and when you first use the table you can set the position to make the table respond slower when tilting back.
As you become more used to the inversion table you can change the position of the pivot arms to allow you to go closer to a vertical inversion, and gain greater sensitivity to movement. A belt is included which lets you finely adjust the maximum possible inversion angle.
When the pivot arms are set in the most advanced position you will be able to go right through to a full 180 degree inversion.
The height range of the Health Mark Pro is from 4’ 10” through to 6’ 8”, which accommodates most adults. The height adjustment is a simple spring-loaded pin, and the adjustment boom with gradient markings on it slides in or out to set the ankle clasps at the right length from the table.
Dimensions / Storage
The Health Mark Pro measures 57 x 26 x 56 Inches when set up and folds away for storage when not in use. Typically of the ‘A’ frame design it becomes a bit longer when folded, but is somewhat flatter. Some people find it is still quite bulky when folded, and the rubber stops on the ends of the legs sometimes come off when moving it – watch those shiny floorboards!
A plus is that this inversion table isn’t as heavy as many other models, making it a little easier to move around.
